Shame on you, Norman. Where's your sense of beauty. It may have been "a gas
guzzler that does nothing but produce excesive noise pollution whilst
ferrying the obscenely rich back and forth.", but "the only decent thing
about it" was not that "it atleast made those rich people sit in discomfort
for three hours" etc. I think that it was a thing of beauty to behold, one
that we shall never see again. The Russians were quick to copy it with their
Konkordski. The comment has already been made that it turned many heads when
it passed over, and one can say that about very few planes these days. Most
people were fascinated by it, as was I. I could never have afforded to
travel in it, not even as a courier, but I don't begrudge those who could.
In many cases, their money won't last! Many of us enjoyed seeing her and we
shall miss her greatly.
In sadness,
John
