I don't think I've ever heard such a sweeping statement...
If you have a query whereby the result to be displayed could be one of
several values and those values depend on other values how do you go...

I've noticed one difference, that the asp file on nonlinear is giving
"strTotal=-1" while the other one gives "strTotal=13" at the end of the
string. Maybe it's something to do with that?

It is ok now thanks Andy Mcnaughton-Jones sorted me out. I just need to put
in some "case when" statements into the sql which I had never heard of
before. I got it working this morning.
